So what’s it all about…
Encouraging journalists to attend any trade show is hugely challenging in today’s fast paced media environment. As many have previously told us, there just isn’t enough time in the day, or even half a day, to walk a trade show looking for ideas.
Identifying this as a problem to solve, we introduced our Brand Showcase and Press Gifting Room initiative to the Exclusively Shows in 2017. An edit of the main show itself, journalists are invited to see event highlights in one space quickly and effectively - without having to take too much time out of their day.
A unique opportunity for you to present key products to leading consumer journalists, influencer's and bloggers, the showcase - which takes place within our media centre – proved popular in its first year with over 50 journalists from 35 quality publications (both online and in print) attending to uncover potential products to talk about, 2018 saw this doubling. Titles that participated and featured brands in 2018 included:
GQ - Hello! online - Good Housekeeping- ITV This Morning - The Sun - Daily Mail on Line - Ideal Home - Take a Break - House Beautiful - Sainsbury's magazine - Good Homes – MyWeekly – Heat - Home Style – Jamie - Living Etc - Stylist - Mirror plus many Influencers
A mini exhibition space in its own right, each journalist is also given a brand catalogue and gift bag of items to take away and test. Post event the press office team follow up with those who attended to help secure coverage for participants, as part of this ground-breaking trade show initiative.

Introducing 'Christmas in June'
Traditionally the British Press start looking at potential gift and gadget ideas to feature within their lucrative festive season additions at the beginning of July, but we want Exclusively Exhibitors to get on radar and ahead of the competition within our Brand Showcase at the show in June. Pitching and ultimately having product placed within key titles in the lead-up to Christmas is not just great for brand visibility to consumers, but it can also make a huge impact in terms of product sales both in-store and online.
If you are launching, or have a stand-out gifting line you want the press to know about as part of your presentation within the 2019 showcase, please flag to us and we will ensure this is highlighted within our communication to journalists.
How to get involved
There is no limit to the number of brands exhibitors can enter into the showcase, and discounts will apply for 3 or more but they do need to be in the main exhibition too. Exhibitors showcaseing 3 brands, are offered a solus display 1m sq or 3 shelves.
The package also includes inclusion in our NEW Brand Showcase image and press release portal. A place where journalists can download images and press releases for 6 months. This will be managed for 6 months after the show.
Last but not least, for 2 months after the show, the media team, connect with the journalists, and follow up enquiries. and with the attendees to secure further coverage.
Press Release Service. New for 2019
This is a post show service available to all exhibitors of the brand showcase who would like to reach out directly to the attending media with a bespoke press release, created and sent by our PR expert, Richard Watts.
All requests for product and information will be handled by Richard who will liase directly with your brand contact. This is a fantastic bespoke follow up service to the consumer press after the show by someone who has daily communications and excellent relationships with the journalists attending.
The service includes the creation of one bespoke press release, its distribution, and forwarding all requests to the brand owner.
